But the more I called to him, the farther he moved from me, offering sacrifices to the images of Baal and burning incense to idols. I myself taught Israel\u00a0how to walk, leading him along by the hand. But he doesn\u2019t know or even care that it was I who took care of him. I led Israel along with my ropes of kindness and love. I lifted the yoke from his neck, and I myself stooped to feed him.&#8221; Hosea 11:1-4, NLT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2FchiZy\">Activity from the <em>Hands-On Bible<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The people of Israel were God\u2019s children, but they had turned away from him. Did God turn away from them? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No! Read all of HOSEA 11 to see how God describes himself as a parent. Thread a piece of yarn through the top of your wrapped yarn and tie it off. Slide the yarn off the cardboard. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 24%\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"145\" height=\"253\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.tyndale.com\/nlt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2020\/10\/Hands-On-Yarb-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5124\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Then wrap yarn around the cardboard widthwise 25 times. Take the second bundle, and thread it through the middle of the first bundle to make arms.
